WHAT ARE THE COSTS FOR IMPORTING

The seller is in France, the buyer is in Los Angeles.

Container rental: From France up to port arrival Long Beach via ocean (loading
port is Le Havre) : 20'
(one car) = $2,750.00, 40' (two cars) = $3,550.00 The above rates include
the proper loading, blocking and bracing of the cars within the container,
container drayage, documentation, handling and export formalities.
Upon arrival the following will apply:
- Landed Charges - Carrier's Terminal Handling Charge - At cost depending
on the carrier, generally $560.00/40' and $480.00/20'
- Customs Duty - 2.5% based on the declared value of the vehicle
- Merchandise Processing Fee - 0.21% based on the declared value of the vehicle
(maximum - $485.00)
- Harbor Maintenance Fee - 0.125% based on the declared value of the vehicle
- Customs Bond - $4.00 per $1,000.00 based on the declared value of the vehicle
plus the duty and users' fees (minimum - $40.00)
Los Angeles/Long Beach Charges
- Customs Entry - $250.00 per entry
- Drayage to Warehouse $200.00 per container
- Devanning - $150.00 per vehicle
- Warehouse In/Out Receiving Report - $35.00 per vehicle
- Race Car Exemption - $300.00 per vehicle
